The cross section of stainless steel wire is generally round or flat. Common stainless steel wire grades with good corrosion resistance and high cost performance are 304 and 316. The production process of stainless steel wire is drawing, which is to pull the wire rod or wire blank out of the die hole of the wire drawing die under the action of drawing force to produce small-section steel wire. The drawn stainless steel wire has precise dimensions and a smooth surface. There are three delivery states of stainless steel wire.
1. Annealed soft state(S), commonly known as hydrogen wire drawing. The stainless steel wire is brightly heat treated, or pickled or similarly treated after heat treatment to remove surface oxide scale.
2. Lightly drawn state(LD), the stainless steel wire is drawn to the finished size with a small reduction rate after heat treatment.
3. Cold drawn state(WCD), the stainless steel wire is conventionally drawn after heat treatment, that is, the process of forming at room temperature by pressure processing methods such as die drawing and roller drawing.
