Stainless Steel Bar
Product detail
Shanghai Nosinda Metal Co., Ltd is a leading Stainless Steel Bar manufacturer and supplier.
Stainless steel bars are metal materials made from stainless steel ingots through hot rolling, cold drawing, or forging. It has various excellent properties and are widely used in industrial manufacturing, construction, medical devices, and other fields. Depending on the final applications and processing methods, customers can choose the appropriate process: hot rolling for general structural components, cold drawing for precision machining, and forging for critical load-bearing parts. The delivery condition of stainless steel bars can generally be divided into hot-rolled, cold-drawn, annealed, and solution-treated conditions. Hot-rolled and cold-drawn conditions are the original condition after hot rolling and cold drawing processes, retaining high hardness but potentially containing internal stress. The annealed condition involves slow cooling after high-temperature heating, eliminating internal stress, resulting in a more uniform material and improved toughness, facilitating subsequent machining. The solution-treated condition involves rapid cooling after high-temperature treatment, enhancing corrosion resistance, and is used for high-alloy stainless steel. Bars in different delivery conditions have varying properties, and the appropriate condition should be selected based on subsequent processing requirements and application scenarios to improve production efficiency and product quality. The following are some specific classifications of stainless steel bars.
Stainless steel hot-rolled bars are delivered directly after hot rolling. They have a rough surface and lower dimensional accuracy, but good toughness, making them suitable for subsequent processing. Because the stainless steel bars are at a very high temperature after coming out of the hot rolling furnace, the surface turns black during natural cooling, hence they are also called stainless steel black bars.
Stainless steel bright bars have a bright surface. They are produced by cold drawing the hot-rolled stainless steel bars to remove the black surface layer. Stainless steel bright bars are generally made by cold drawing, precision grinding, or polishing, resulting in a good surface brightness, smoothness, high dimensional accuracy, and improved hardness and strength. They can be directly used in applications requiring high precision. They are commonly used in furniture, automotive parts, medical equipment, and building materials.
Stainless steel square bars are mainly used for making standard parts, shafts, instrument parts, and precision equipment components.
Stainless steel flat bars can be semi-finished steel products. They are available in cold-drawn polished and hot-rolled acid-pickled and sandblasted finishes. In construction engineering, they are used in bridges, building frames, fences, power transmission lines, ships, and vehicles.
Stainless steel hexagonal bars are solid, long stainless steel bars with a hexagonal cross-section. They are widely used in marine, chemical, and construction industries.
