The National Standard "Test Method For Copper Foil For Lithium-ion Batteries" Passed The Demonstration
On May 16, the reporter learned from the Market Supervision Bureau of Yingtan City, Jiangxi Province that the national standard "Test Method for Copper Foil for Lithium-ion Batteries", which was led by the city's Inspection, Testing and Certification Institute, was approved at the National Nonferrous Metals Standard Project Demonstration Meeting.
It is understood that with the global vigorous development of low-carbon economy, the implementation of the domestic "dual carbon" policy and supporting plans, the production and sales of electric vehicles, lithium batteries and photovoltaic products, known as the "new three", have increased dramatically. In recent years, my country's lithium battery copper foil manufacturing technology has developed rapidly and has reached the world's leading level, but there is a blank in the supporting test method standards. Formulating a unified lithium battery copper foil test standard is not only conducive to improving the repeatability and reproducibility of test results, but also conducive to quality control and process control of lithium battery copper foil, so as to better understand product performance, improve product qualification rate, and thus improve product quality supervision efficiency.
According to the person in charge of the Yingtan Inspection, Testing and Certification Institute, the national standard "Test Method for Copper Foil for Lithium-ion Batteries" is a national standard for nonferrous metals collected for the industrial chain and supply chain of the nonferrous metals industry in accordance with the relevant requirements of the National Standardization Administration, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association. The standard integrates the test items of lithium battery copper foil thickness, unit area mass, thickness uniformity, pinholes, warpage, end copper powder, tensile strength, elongation, oxidation resistance, glossiness and surface wetting tension into one standard, which is in line with the standard system optimization policy. The formulation, release and implementation of the standard will effectively regulate the analysis and testing of lithium battery copper foil, further promote the development of lithium battery copper foil product trade, and make positive contributions to the development of new quality productivity.
