The highest conductivity of all grades (above 61.0% IACS)
Very soft and ductile, but with the lowest mechanical strength(110Mpa)
➤ Condition/Temper: O, H14, H19
➤Applications:

Cable Conductor: conductive core of various power cables
Electronics Industry: electrode for electrolytic capacitors
1.2 Al-Mg-Si Series (6xxx Series) — Heat-Treated
♦ Grade: 6101 (Balance of strength and medium-to-high conductivity)

High strength(above 295Mpa)
Medium to high conductivity (above 52.5% IACS)
Balance of strength and medium-to-high conductivity
➤ Condition/Temper: T81
➤Applications:
OPGW lightning protection wire: as outer stranded conductor
Busbar duct: for substations and distribution equipment
Transformer winding wire: a cost-effective alternative to copper wire for large power transformers

♦ Grade: 6201 (Ultra-high strength aluminum alloy wire)

➤ Applications:
Armature lashing wire: bind motor rotor windings to prevent them from flying apart during high-speed rotation
Specialty conductor: used for transmission lines with extremely high mechanical loads, such as spanning long distances and heavy ice areas
1.3 Al-Mg Series (5xxx Series) — Work-Hardening
♦ Grades: 5056, 5356

Excellent corrosion resistance (especially to seawater)
Good fatigue strength and weldability.
High tensile strength(above 380Mpa)
Low conductivity(above 35% IACS)
➤ Condition/Temper: O, H18, H38
➤ Applications:
Welding Wire: used for MIG welding of aluminum alloy structural parts (e.g., automotive, shipbuilding, and railcars).
Rivets: manufacture of various rivets.
Woven Mesh: used for filtration, protection, and decoration.
1.4 8000 Series — Used in wires and cables, replacing copper wire
♦ Grades: 8030, 8176
➤ Features:
Excellent creep resistance (300% higher than pure aluminum)
Good flexibility
High conductivity (above 61.0% IACS)
➤ Condition/Temper: O61, H24
➤ Applications:
Building wiring: such as residential wiring, to reduce fire risk
Automotive wiring harnesses: used in low-voltage wiring in vehicles to achieve lightweighting
2. How to Choose a Grade?
2.1 For Conductivity: 1350 pure aluminum wire is preferred. It is suitable for most applications where current transmission is the primary goal.
2.2 For Strength: 6201 high-strength Al-Mg-Si alloy is preferred. It is suitable for applications subject to high mechanical stress.
2.3 Requires a balance between strength and conductivity: 6101 is preferred. It is the standard choice for balanced performance.
2.4 For corrosion resistance/welding/machining: 5xxx series alloy, such as 5056.
2.5 For creep resistance/wire routing: 8xxx series alloy, such as 8030.
